Kazu is Satoru’s primary school classmate. His favorite type of games is shooters. When Kenya asked if Satoru has feelings for Kayo, Kazu loudly announced that he will support Satoru and arranged his meeting with Kayo. He is quick to act without thinking.
When Satoru, Kenya and Hiromi’s attempt to befriend Nakanishi Aya failed and she called that boys having hideout is foolish and childish, Kazu claimed that boy’s hideout is a “man’s dream.” Although it seemed as a complete failure to befriend Aya, she was charmed by Kazu’s boldness and manliness and started hanging out with the boys in the hideout in her free time.
