Tatsuyoshi Suzuki
鈴木タツヨシ
A friend of Shinko. He always carries his father’s wooden sword with him and is rather silent. The other children have a lot of respect for him.
His father is a police man and very much respected in the community. In reality however, he cheats on Tatsuyoshi’s mother with a prostitute, often returns home drunk, and beats Tatsuyoshi. Tatsuyoshi’s father later commits suicide because he has so many debts. Tatsuyoshi and Shinko go to get “revenge” on the blonde prostitute who seduced his father. In the end Tatsuyoshi has to move to Osaka. Before he goes he vows that he will be a better father for his children and play often with them.
