Lenka Utsugi
空木 レンカ
The main protagonist of the story and A New-type god eater recruited by the Far East Branch. He cares for his subordinates so much that he forgets to take care of himself during a battle with the aragami. He is willing to give himself up for other people’s safety. He soon is brought into the 1st Unit and learns a lot from his superiors. Lenka was named by his sister, Iroha Utsugi, after a flower that blooms from the mud.
Lenka’s real last name is unknown. He was adopted by Iroha Utsugi and her mother and father. Picked up from a puddle after being left behind in front of the gates of the Fenrir’s Far East Branch.
Only he was allowed in Fenrir, since his adoptive family weren’t blood relatives. They kept him being able to become a God Eater secret, in fear of him being taken to Fenrir while they were left outside. He discovered only after his mother and father died.
His mother died of a disease. His father died after being pinned under a pile of rubble, telling Iroha and Lenka to leave him. His sister, Iroha Utsugi, was killed by aragami when Lenka and her were on their way to Fenrir. (These deaths are all in chronological order).This is why he wants to protect everyone, even if he doesn’t know them. He does not want to see another person die.
