A notification system for when a series finishes the last episode of the season would be nice as I like to finish stuff especially when I might have long time periods between the next time I have time to watch and it dulls the story for me when this happens. This would be a nice quality of life addition for other marathoners as well I think.

thanks for the suggestion. This has been requested by multiple users already and I’m thinking about implementing this. It is quite difficult to pinpoint a season end date so what I might do instead is send notifications for when series are about to finish.
The idea is to let everyone control in the settings what he wants to see: Weekly notifications or only when a series ends.
Let me know if that would be good enough for your needs.
ahh i just figured it could book mark a series last episode then just notify once that episode airs, like for Violet Evergarden i see episode 14 already and when new episodes are added it could delete that marker and reset it to the next one which would notify when the next season ended once those episodes were added to the list
yes that would be good though, even just something that notifies me when something is added to the “finished” filter on the explore list would be nice even if it’s not something i’m interested in i may try it out

this feature is available now. See this update. When an editor changes the status from “Current” to “Finished”, it will send a notification to all people who have the series in their Watching or Planned list.
I recommend adding a few interesting anime to your Planned list and enable the “Finished anime series” setting in your notification settings.
