Sora Kajiwara

A young shy girl who enjoys drawing and cats.

Kajiwara Sora lives and draws completely from the heart. She takes her sketchbook everywhere with her in her ongoing attempts to capture the transitory in her art. Sora’s heightened awareness of mono-no-aware also causes her to notice very small details of the world around her and makes her a “my-pace” kind of person. She loves all the cats in the neighborhood and has named them all. As the story begins, she is painfully, extremely shy—to the point where even the most casual encounter with a stranger paralyzes her and loud voices can trigger her panic and flight. Later, she learns to open up just a bit to her friends.
