Emile

Emile is a young sailor who used to live in a village near Ussel. The death of his father and his failure to find a job in his hometown forced him to leave his family and work on a ship. Emile met Remi while he was in Bordeaux. The two became good friends. One day, Capi, one of Mr. Vitalis’ dogs, suddenly went missing. Emile, Remi and Joli-Coeur (Mr. Vitalis’ monkey) discovered the next day that Capi was one of the smart dogs that were stolen by Victor and Gigi (Emile’s fellow sailors) to be sold to the circus. Victor and Gigi found the two children and the monkey on the ship and tried to capture them. Vitalis came to the ship afterwards and saved Remi, Emile, Joli-Coeur and Capi. In the end, Victor and Gigi’s illegal ship activity was stopped. Emile soon bid Remi goodbye and left Bordeaux.
