Kureha Mibu
A third year student at Kenbukan High, Kureha Mibu is an assassin and one of the Twelve Generals of the Martial Fist. He has a strong sense of justice, and truly believes that what he is doing is the right thing—eliminating criminals that the law cannot touch keeps the wolves at bay, and protects innocent people. Kureha can sense a person’s evil intentions, which causes him to have conflicted thoughts when he fights Tatsuma Hiyuu, feeling no ill-will from the Magami boy.
In the manga, Kureha Mibu does not have as significant role in the original story as he does in the sequel anime. There is no Martial Fist; however, Kureha is hired as an assassin to kill Tatsuma Hiyuu, which he cannot do. He becomes another ally in fighting the Kidou-shuu.
Kureha actually studied martial arts under Tatsuma’s old sensei, which is why the two share fighting styles and “tekou” (wrist and hand armor)—and a joint astonishment when battling each other.
Kureha Mibu turned to martial arts, and ultimately the Heavenly Generals, after his mother was severely injured in a car accident. Left in a comatose state, young Kureha is left in the care of his aunt and uncle, who only belittle his mother for neglecting her child for male suitors. Feeling pity for his mother, Kureha develops his strong sense of justice, and a black-and-white manner of viewing right-and-wrong.
When he discovers that the Martial Fist was only being used by Munetaka Yagyuu for an evil outcome, Kureha is guilt-ridden and unsure of himself. In the end, he decides to support Tatsuma Hiyuu, and fights to protect.
