Needless is Gasparde’s right-hand man, but despite being that Needless states that Gasparde is for him to kill, and he ignored his captain’s orders not to damage the ship. Why this strained relationship is never revealed, but it may be due to Gasparde’s way of treating his crew as “underlings”.
