If someone needs short and enjoyable anime then here are some of my recommendations: Charlotte, Baccano (You might feel confused at start but it gets interesting as you watch), Beyond the Boundary, Angel Beats! & No Game No Life. If you’d like to add some more, do tell in the replies.
I guess with short you mean like 11-13 eps or something, right?
I’m sure I’ll remember some more later but for now I want to add “Hataraku Maou-sama!” aka “The Devil is a Part-Timer”. That’s my number one comedy anime and I really hope that someday there will be a sequel. It’s hilarious :’D

Boku dake ga inai machi, Nana maru san batsu
Houseki no Kuni and Mob Psycho 100 are probably my biggest recommendations [The only 2 anime that have a rating higher than 9.3 on my list]. I also loved ID: Invaded, Kekkai Sensen and Dr. Stone though.
