I can sympathize. But we follow the naming conventions of real names (no numbers, capitalized starting letter) with the only exception of underscore. It also is required for user URLs in case we remove the “+” in the link (there was/is a plan to do that). Additionally, as you already mentioned, it looks better on the site when those are homogenous.

This likely won’t be changed. Something similar to Twitch’s “edit capitalization” feature might be possible.
