Yano is one of Section 9’s new recruits in 2nd GIG, as a rookie and field operative.
Yano is killed in the raid on Kuze’s false location in the 2nd GIG episode “Chain Reaction of Symmetry”, making him Section 9’s first officer to be killed in the line of duty from hostile gunfire.
