Hidomi Hibajiri
A nihilistic young girl who is the protagonist of FLCL Progressive. She has a recurring dream of a destroyed world where she decays and fuses with a robot that comes out of her forehead. She wears a pair of cat ear headphones that don’t actually play music; she uses these headphones to separate herself from the rest of the world. Despite her stoic attitude, she has a second personality that is energetic and perky, that only manifests in her dreams.
Her headphones are a device from the mysterious Medical Mechanica which protect her from Haruko, and when they are forcibly drilled into her head, her perky subconsciousness surfaces.
